The brief is for a striking family residence to be built in two phases on this hilltop site with far-reaching views over the bay.
Phase one is a single storey structure, set deep in the forest, where the family will live until the main residence is completed. Thereafter it will be slightly revised to become an atelier.
Sliding panels allow both buildings to be fully closed when not in use, whilst the large cantilevers create terraces on each level, with shaded areas below. A full height chimney breast runs through the core of the house creating a strong central focus with large open plan living and work spaces allowing optimal views from every room.
